Who we are

JHR Resource Recovery Ltd. is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@jhrresourcerecovery.co.uk.

Information we collect

Depending on how you contact us, this may include your name, business or customer type, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, collection postcode or location, material type, approximate quantity, description, uploaded photographs and messages. Our website and service providers may also create basic technical and security records such as timestamps, browser information and IP addresses.

How we use your information

We use information to review and respond to enquiries, assess whether material may be suitable, arrange collections and payments, maintain transaction and traceability records, meet legal or regulatory obligations, protect the service from misuse and improve how enquiries are handled. We do not use an enquiry as consent for unrelated marketing.

Our lawful bases

Depending on the purpose, we process information because it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform an agreement, because JHR must meet a legal obligation, or because JHR has a legitimate interest in operating a secure, accountable and effective collection service. Where consent is genuinely required, it will be requested separately and can be withdrawn.

Sharing and service providers

JHR uses service providers to operate the website and enquiry workflow, including Framer for the website, Cloudinary for optional photo uploads, Make for workflow automation, Airtable for enquiry records and Microsoft for internal communications. Information may also be shared with professional advisers, regulators, authorities or service partners where necessary and lawful. JHR does not sell personal information.

International processing

Some technology providers may process or store information outside the UK. Where this happens, JHR relies on the provider’s applicable data-protection terms and recognised safeguards intended to protect information transferred internationally.

Retention and security

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the enquiry, collection relationship, business administration, dispute handling and any applicable legal record-keeping requirements. Retention is reviewed according to the purpose and sensitivity of the information. Reasonable organisational and technical safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid including unrelated or highly sensitive information in photographs or descriptions.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase information, restrict its use, object to processing and receive certain information in a portable form. You can also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. JHR does not make solely automated decisions about enquiries that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Contact hello@jhrresourcerecovery.co.uk to make a request.

Questions or complaints

Please contact JHR first if you have a privacy concern so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
